Look at us!
You know, we post pictures of our bikes, but what about ourselves? This thread is devoted to BF users with their loved ones [their bikes!].
I'll start off. This is me, looking a little porkie with that winter fat, on Easter morning this year. I'm up on Mount Royal -- you can see the city of Montreal in the background -- with my cyclocross bike having a thoroughly wonderful time.
In case you're wondering, yes, I do indeed have shortish legs. I prefer to think of it as a "viking build."

velocipedio! That's you!?! No way! It's so weird how we picture someone one way, and then you see an actual picture, and they're totally different...sort of like reading a book and then seeing the movie, you know?
I wish I had an up-to-date picture to post here, but I don't have a scanner or anything, and the only ones I have on the computer from the internet are from a long time ago, or aren't good at all (as in can hardly make out it's a bike rider!).
I'm interested in seeing the rest of you, though!

But what were you expecting, one of those tall. thin, wiry, time-trial types? Hell no, I'm a sprinter [you can't really see my massive bunny-leg thighs in this picture]. Was it the winter fat? I actually look a little paunchier there than I am because I'm wearing a vest and two jerseys.
Maybe it was the professorial beard... I should have a poll about that. I'd look about 15 years younger without it. But I am a professor, so there you have it.
To tell the truth, I'm more in my element on the road bike and in shorts, anyway. When I get a picture like that, I'll post it.

Actually my hair is a kind of medium-brown. The angle of the light and the fact that I have some more grey than I'd really like [you try teaching 19-year-olds how to write and see what happens to your hair!] makes my whiskers look considerably blonder than they really are... This is from last fall, wearing my old glasses [mostly, I wear contacts], to give you an idea of my colouring.

Sorry about the low-resolution webcam shot. I will scan in a better one later.

This is me on a recent MTB excursion, about a week ago. It was about 50 f but there was still snow on the mountain. It's for sure gone by now, the temp has shot up to about 75 since then.
Actually, I don't think I photograph terribly well, face wise anyways, but who can tell. Sorry about the blob obscuring the photo. But dig the cool vintage wool jersey!
