Online Parts

Where do you shop online for parts other than places like performance or nashbar? Specifically, I am looking for a decent variety of seatposts, stems, and handlebars. I know I can order parts through my LBS, but it is so much more convenient to have them delivered for small things like these.

Order from your lbs if you can.....when they are gone who will answer your questions face to face. Just my humble (but opinionated) opinion.

I have used performancebike.com, coloradocyclist.com, and excelsports.com with much success. Sometimes these people are more knowledgable than the folks at the LBS!

Is it worth paying twice as much? Maybe for 1 or 2 parts, but for more it can add up to hundreds of $$$. My "LBS" refused to answer my questions to prevent me from shopping elsewhere, which was sufficient motivation for me to buy the parts myself, and a toolkit and books and learn to do it myself, even if it takes 3 months. Now I have shiny new bike tools. Do not give the customer attitude.

Has anybody had any experience with the following:
https://www.cambriabike.com
I've been looking for a deal on a pair of SpeedPlay X5's and they are the only ones who are less than the $114.95 msrp, at 98.85

I have ordered a lot of stuff from them. They have never screwed me around. And everyone who answers the phone there is a rider, so you can talk bikes with them.

I placed an order there, but the stuff was backordered and I ended up cancelling - I'm impatient. They seemed good though.

I generally check nashbar, airbomb, and another good one but with limited selection - https://www.icyclesusa.com/ - I got a great deal on DT spokes and nipples there, they cut them to order. Sometimes they have fantastic prices on stuff.

Sometimes you get really good deals in odd places - I got a pair of eggbeaters on a BMX site for $50.

aebike.com has the best prices I have found on parts found in the QBP catalog. QBP is where your LBS gets most of their run of the mill parts.

I just filled my parts list for my Il Pompino from ebay, craigslist, supergo, and my LBS. W/ the exception of the Chris King headset and cranks, everything was below $20 for used and new stuff. This includes brakes, levers, bars, chain, stem, seat, post, clamps, etc. I also found a slightly used Thompson seatpost for $35 on the Dean Bikes (yes, the ti frame company) specials page. I think they're take offs but great deals. Missed the Thompson stem by a few hours this morning for $35. Dangit.
