Rate my Dealer/Mechanic

Bought a 700 dollar hybrid from the local dealer. We decided to upgrade some components. I ordered xtr levers, and 2 weeks later i got Avids. I ordered xtr rear derauilleur, got xt, said xtr wasn't available in rapid rise or something 2 weeks later. Broke the end cap plugs on the Easton handlebar driving them in. Was installing the rear derauilleur and let the cable beat on the spokes of my new Mavic rims while adjusting=really pissed me off. Ordered a white Ritchey wcs stem, he ordered carbon. On the rims told me the rep. had a set of mavics for 350, next day delivery, week later, sorry but got cosmics for 450. How would u rate my dealer?

He should be hung by the neck until dead!

That's just about the worst I've ever heard!

You would think that with the job situation being what it is, that people would care about their work a bit more. I find the opposite to be true.

Ordering XT levers when the customer wants XTR levers is stupid...

...almost as stupid as putting XTR levers on a $700 hybrid.

Not if the dealer/mechanic already had a pair of xt in the shop and charged for a new pair of xtr. Saying it was the suppliers fault.

Why would you be putting all this XTR on a $700 bike?

Yep - having to rely on people to do the right thing will often lead to your disappointment. It did to me at least.

Once I learned how to do my own work and order my own parts I was/am much happier.
