Electric shock feeling on the back of my leg.

My ride route is just a shade under 20 miles and occassionally after anywhere from 6 - 12 miles in i will get a feeling like i am getting a little shock on the back of my thigh near the seat. It feels like it happens on the down stroke while pedalling, at first it would only happen to one leg or the other, but now it happens to both. If i pop up out of the seat it goes away, but not always. The feeling only lasts a few minutes but is annoying. I have tried searching here for an answer, no luck.

I'd Google your symptoms and see if it shows up on a Q&A site or forum, as cycling might be just one activity that brings this on. I had strange burning/tingling pain in the front of my thighs that would only show up once I started sleeping. It seems to be gone now that I can't ride the bike at least every other day, or ride more than a few miles at a time.

Thanks, but everything i found reads as a problem that lasts longer or occurs off the bike.

If it really bothers you, I'd see a Doc. How long has it been a problem? I have small things come and go, usually not for very long however.

Are you butt-dialing the Taser you keep in your rear pants pocket?

Time to see a doctor. It may be a bulged disc pinching a nerve.

Yes, DO NOT LET THIS GO UNATTENDED OR MAY BECOME PERMANENT!

Thanks to all who have posted. I work at a hospital and the docs don't think it's a pinched nerve or disc, they also say they don't know what it is. Then they tell me I need to quit riding, but not for any medical reasons, "it's too dangerous". It didn't happen on tonight's ride so maybe it was a temporary thing that is now gone. BTW i keep the taser up front.
Thanks again.
