Thinking of buying some avid bb7s?

was browsing prices and came across this on ebay. pretty much 120(99.89+19.99 shipping) for a full set of 2012 avid bb7s(which is a ok price 2010/11 can be bought for like around 50/70 but with g2 or round i think) + G3 rotors + L/R Avid Speed Dial levers.

edit: oh i also found pretty much same deal on avid elixir 1s(same seller). hydros though. and ive just learned g3s arent really good for bb7s because the pads too bigso they wear on the rotor where the pad is supposed to and a little down the arms.

yeah. if i had the money id buy them but i recently plunked down for 2 new u-locks, new seat, gloves, puncture repair kit, pump, camelbak, and carabiner
getting back into biking now and only had a floor pump and no way to fix flats and old kryptonite u lock with the cyclinder key and cable lock.

BB7 is the sweet spot between price and performance.

front wheel to frame and frame and rear to fixture. dont want the weight or bulkiness of a chain and wanted something more secure than a cable. and both are double bolted so have to cut through both shackles to remove.

How are BB7s compared to lower end hydraulics like Shimano Deore?
