Dented Top Tube
I have a 2003 Felt F50 road bicycle that I recently crashed. During the crash I dented the top tube. The size of the dent is approximately one-quarter of the circumferance of the tube and is located almost directly in the center of the tube. The frame is completely aluminum and the fork is carbon and I was wondering if the bike is still safe to race on? I have heard stories of guys riding on dented frames for years, but I ride really hard and I have already broken a set of wheels, a seat, and 3 chains.

Is it dented on the side of the tube? The end of the handle bar probably went into it when you crashed. I did the same thing. Was told by LBS that it is best not to ride on it indefinitely as at some point it may buckle and fail. Be careful and keep an eye on it.
