If you really concentrate, you'll be able to see some future Cannondales in that obelisk...
PS.
Why do I suddenly feel obliged to kneel and face the east?
Edited: Thanks Pobble.808

I'm facing east right now, watching the sun come up over the lake.
This evening I'll face east and watch the moon come up over the lake.

First of all, it's actutally an obelisk, not a minaret
Second of all, it was sponsored by Nissan:

If anybody is going to worship there, it seems like a less suitable spot for cyclists than for motorists whose "Get that bike off my road!" prayers were apparently answered...
Perhaps GM will sponsor erection of these in every town across the land?
