Taking Your Bike Christmas Traveling?

I am going to be traveling a few hundred miles over a couple days for Christmas. I am trying to decide whether to pack the bike and all of the gear. Anyone else taking there bike along??

Well, I've already left my bike in Virginia, but I am bringing my rollers just in case. And I do have to bring my gear, since I only left the bike there, but no gear. I think it's worth bringing, but I'm only bringing the basics for gear. CO2 cartridges, a couple of inner tubes, some patches, and a multitool. That's about it.

I'm thinking about it, but there may not be room for the bike on the way back. I'm not sure how full the truck bed with be with the grandparent's loot.

Plus, a vintage three speed Raleigh that I gave the mother-in-law several years ago is supposed to be coming back home with us this time. Maybe I can air up the tires and tool around on that for a bit instead.

Ide go for it somehow, back racks are handy. Im going to North Carolina this summer so what im probably going to do is take off the handlebar and put it to the side and remove the wheels. I worked too hard on them for anything to go wrong.

Absolutely. I'm heading down to South Carolina this week and I'm excited to ride in warm(er) weather. I haven't had very much time to ride the last few weeks and I'm looking forward to the extra time on the bike.

I am bringing mine. I know it will not make me popular with the wife but then again, what does? Trunk space is at a premium with two kids, and tons of gear. I have already had all of the packages transported to our two Christmas stops, so i have that covered.

I just always get flack for my bag taking up too much room. The bike really shouldn't matter because it is on a hitch rack behind the car. Probably will get in trouble for that too. Oh well, tis the season.
