Brake cable end caps
Up until now I've been using aluminum brake cable end caps with a blind hole. It seems that I have only been able to find the end caps with a through hole. Does anyone have a source for the end caps without the through hole?
Short of a pair of pliers or needle nose, what are you using for end cap crimping tool? |
Bike shop, they use a lot of them .. I crimp with dikes..

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ls_o02_s00_i01 Or cycling-specific online stores (like the ones that sell through Amazon).

I buy them in bulk from where ever. Use the Park Cable Cutter tool pictured above to crimp them. IIRC the last bottle I bought was Avenir brand.

Price point has 'em in 100-count bottles.
http://www.pricepoint.com/detail/211...s-100-Pack.htm I've seen them elsewhere for similar prices, including some LBSes; $13 for 30 seems insanely expensive. |

I just bought a bag of 100 plain aluminum end caps and a new brake cable through Amazon. Thanks for the help.
