Night Riding

I need a light set up that will provide me as a minimum of three hours of excellent light illuminition. This is what I have done...

1. I bought a Pep Boys 25 watt driving light set (2 lights). Bought a small 12 volt motorcycle battery from Walmart ($57).

2. Battery would provide an outstanding visible light for about 50 minutes and thereafter began to loose power. At 60 minutes, beam was negible.

Ok...what is next.

I am looking for a bright lite source.

Get a HID light system for around $350.
Get a lamp head from like a garden lamp or something, find a way to mount it, get a toggle switch, burn a hole in the lamp head and stick the switch through. Get a battery pack + charger and you can make a good 10-15 watt system that runs for 3+ hours for about $100 or so. Or spend $150 and you can buy something commercial.

Try the nightpro expert. About $100 and get an extra battery...should provide what you need at a reasonable cost

If you want to take another shot at doing it on the cheap, try and find a deep cycle battery, they are used for trolling motors.
