Which Hitch Carrier is Witch? Or, not witch?

I have a 2" hitch on my fire breathing, dinosaur consuming Tahoe... I'm looking for a beefy hitch I can set and forget on the back.. The more capacity the merrier, so I'm thinking a 4-place carrier.. But, they don't even look like they'll fit 4 bikes..?

Anyway, what is the way to go with these? I see most of them have wimpy 1 1/4" or whatever hitches, that have a 2" adapter.. Any straight up 2" units out there, or do I have to use the adapter?

Which company should I stick with? I don't want to pull the trigger and regret it afterwards, let alone when I see my bike ghost riding at 55 mph in the rear view...

I have a 4bike Saris rack with 1.5" hitch
on a Subaru Outback.....bad purchase.

I wished I had a two bike rack with 2" hitch.

Thule and Yakima both make 2" only hitch mount racks. Thule has a couple of 5 bike models and a 4 bike that swings out from the back of your truck so you can still access the cargo without removing the bikes.

I have one of these, I can hold 4 bikes and tow my trailer with 3 kayaks loaded on. It's built tough and has lasted me about 12 years, I use my bike and leave it on all bike season and in to the first part of winter. It fits on my truck perfect and has a 2 inch ball along with a 2 inch hitch. I think I paid $130 at Cabelas........ http://www.swagman.net/products/towi.../original-4-3/

Thanks for the input guys.. ! Here I was getting scared my humorous antics got my post ignored.. ;c)
That Swagman looks pretty decent, and the price isn't too bad.. Of course, I'm trying to go second hand, so Swagman will most likely be harder to find used than the Thule I've already found on Craigs List.

I have a Thule Vortex 5 bike carrier (2 inch hitch) and use it to haul 4 bikes (putting a 5th bike on would require some David Copperfield skills). It is a solid bike carrier and I have no problems recommending it.

I have a Saris Cycle-On Pro 4-bike platform hitch rack, on a 2" hitch on a Nissan XTerra. It works awesome and is fantastically stable. The price...ummm not cheap but worth every penny.

I've had an old Saris (then Graber) 4 bike for around 15 years and have no problems with it. Excellent customer service - needed some parts I lost. They were in the mail in days N/C.
It's an 1¼" cuz that is the hitch I had when I bought it. I Made an adaptor /extender to fit my 2" and clear the rear mounted spare on my full size GM van. Latest car now has a 1¼" again.
