Every time I try on a pair it feels very uncomfortable, Its like the pad is to big.
Also, do you pull them above your navel or do they rest lower?
And whats this about mini pads in tri shorts?

Please help, any suggestions?
BTY: Currently I where a pair of compression shorts covered by a pair of small nylon shorts. This works great for my two hour off-road jaunts, but I'm picking up my new road bike tomorrow and don't know how they will do in the saddle for extended amounts of time.

Every pair is different. The chamis is supose to be large, expecially in the back to protect certain parts of our bodies. The top length depends, I like mine higher because it keeps my back from showing when I am in certain positions on the bike where the jersey is stretched out (rather have bibs but...). It may take some time to get used to bike shorts but I am comfortable in them now.

Some shorts that are low cut are not long enough for me, but may be perfect for you, your preference.

Most bike shorts do seem to want to be pulled up around the navel. I don't particularly like that, so I wear bibs instead. Give 'em a try.

they take some getting used to. I can't ride without them now, however. Back in the day, when chammy was real leather, it was more of a challenge.
