Do you ever exaggerate your frustration when on the bike?

I sometimes do. I guess my goal is to make the person who got in my way or slowed me down feel guilty... but... I bet it usually has the opposite effect. Whatever, it makes me feel better at least.

One time, I noticed a car stopped at a stop sign when I was still about 50 -60 meters away form the intersection. He was just standing there, not doing anything, so I figured he had noticed me coming and was waiting for me to cross. Just as soon as I got to the intersection though, he started driving. I was pretty angry so I squeezed my breaks just enough to slow me down, but then I squeezed them much harder and got flipped over. I wasn't anticipating getting flipped over. I just wanted to pop a back-wheelie but I went down and so did the bike. Luckily I was able to catch my fall with my feet but the bike wasn't so lucky. Luckily no damage was done to either of our forms.

When someone gets in my way, be it a car or a pedestrian, and annoys me I pretend like I'm just about to crash because of them.

Really? The question is IF and WHEN you get frustrated by some other person on the road, do you ever exaggerate your frustration? Does that make sense?

This is a serious question. I understand that section is reserved for questions like: what car make and model have you made out it? Downright stupid questions and questions unrelated to biking. This question is neither stupid nor off-topic.

Lots of people get frustrated when biking because of pissheads on the road and pedestrians who pretend they don't see you.

No your first post and your question don't make sense.

Why would I want to be controlled by the actions of another human being in that way? Why would I want to let someone who is innocently existing in front of me upset me that much? Relax!

And this is ... well ... let's be honest ... pretty stupid.

It must suck if and when the OP finally realizes that the world does not revolve around him....if that ever happens.

Good point there, budlacar. I need to look at it that way.

I don't think it's stupid. It serves a purpose, if only to punish my own self for being stupid, I guess.

And when did I say it did? My world revolves around me and I expect nothing less from other people. They should not and naturally do not care about me or my problems, but I like to make myself think I am making a difference in order to make myself fell better sometimes by engaging in this sort of behavior.

And you just did!

When you do things to make yourself feel better is the definition of being self-centered. You seem to be a taker. As opposed to people who do things because it is the right thing to do and the ones who place others above themselves and work for the betterment of the community.

Clearly...you are not very good at this. Try again.

I bloody poppin' said that MY world revolves around ME and other people's worlds revolve around them. That's different from saying that I expect their worlds to revolve around mine, is it not? I daresay it is.

I am very good at working towards a better community, it's other people who get in my way curtailing my natural tendency to be a fountainhead of swirling sunshine and betterment for the community and not a broken sewage line, eh?

Self centered people have this type of mentality as well. They keep telling others how great they are at making the community great and then proceed to ride on the sidewalk and balk at the LBS for charging "too much", then go on to look at the employees and judge them for being pissheads.

Keep trying.

when I get passed too closely by a cager I'll shake my head. I hope they see me but if the reason for the close call was texting then they probably won't see me

Why stop with half measures? When someone gets in my way I actually crash! Do a total face plant into the blacktop...dig up my knees nice and good...jam my elbows into the asphalt. THAT WILL SHOW THEM!!!

Wait, so you're asking if I become a passive-aggressive prissy-pants when someone cuts me off? This is something I used to do, but then I turned 6 and grew out of it.

Have you noticed anyone actually learning any lessons from your little flailing rants? Chances are that no one even notices. And if they did notice, they'd probably smile knowing that they irked you way more than they originally intended. LOL.
