I just pick up Bontrager tubes from the LBS. Easy, quick, and as good a price as ordering anything from Amazon.

My LBS carries Avenir and a few sizes of some other brand (name escapes me at the moment) for about $6 a tube. I've been happy with them for a long time.

Noted a string of p/v stems without thread, lost air
when rubber bonding failed,around the base of the stem.
And Leyzine floor pump chuck screws on to the threads , that are not there.
so pump wont work.
there is an un-threaded band between the cap thread and the ring nut thread.
i get a fine air seal with my Pista Silca pump's bell chuck gasket , around that ring.

I read a test years ago that concluded, "Tubes all suck, but Continentals suck least." I don't notice a huge difference between Contis and whatever's on sale, but when they're available, that's what I buy.

I always buy Schwalbe tubes; the schraders stem is metal and threaded all the way down (with a locknut at the bottom like most prestas have).

i went to bike shop to buy tubes and the bike person at the shop said they sell two brand tubes Specialized and Bontrager. which one would you buy? the guy recommended specialized just because he uses that tube for his bike.

the thing was both brand had my tire size and both were the same cost not sure which was more lightweight i should have took both boxes and held it to weigh it.

I've used pretty much whatever tube is available. It does seem to me, as Aaron stated, the Schwalbe tubes are quite nice. I've not used a Specialized tube yet.
