Water.
Anything with carbs is going to wreck your teeth over time.

I keep powdered Powerade in my office (it's a lot cheaper than Gatorade). I use it for the trip home. At the end of the day, I'm usually a little hungry, so the Powerade prevents a sugar low. I avoid energy bars because they tend to ruin my dinner.

On long recreational rides, I start with one bottle of water, one of Powerade. When the water runs out, I start the Powerade. I always carry at least one energy bar in case I seriously bonk. As far as emergency equipement goes, an energy bar is as important as a spare tube.

FYI, powdered gatorade has partially hydrogenated oils in it. Clogs the arteries. I couldn't believe it when I read it on the label.

Water
Cytomax

You gotta find what works for you.
Gatorade goes right through me.
The others taste like a chemical plant.

1 bottle water, 1 bottle cytomax for a long ride.
If not supported camelback of water (it gets hot here).
Budvar afterwards but I'd do a castle too if I could find em.

I mix my own drink before the ride.
Two parts H one part O.
It's very refreshing when chilled.
