For most of the winter my bike has been stored in the upper level of the garage on a wooden surface floor. I was curious of what kind of effects the harsh cold will have on my bike, such as the tires. Already this winter has showed some very brutal cold spells and I am curious what kind of winter preperations I would want to consider making to my bike so that it won't get damanged or anything during the winter months.

It is better to hang the bike during storage either by the wheels of frame.
Your tires may take a 'set' if the weight of the bike sits on flat or low pressure tires.
Invest in some bike hooks if you have the means.
Hopefully the bike was lubed prior to storage. Other than that you should have no worries.
Enjoy
