    Anyone Using Cane Creek Thudbuster?

I know it is a long shot, but is anyone using the Cane Creek Thudbuster seatpost? I am thinking of getting one. I am concerned that my present wedge/seatpack won't work with it. Anyone using a wedgepack with this post?

Some places still have the seat bags that are quick disconnect. They have a clamp that clamps onto the back of the seat rails. If there is room that will work. I have been using one on a USE XCR seatpost for four years with no problems.

i like my Rock Shox post. It takes the little bumps out while climbing and I don't sit when I descend, so...

People I know who have tried both say the CC is better than the RS, so I say go for it.

I have the original thudbuster on my mtb hardtail and like it. Be prepared to modify/improvise the mounting of your wedgepack; what's required will depend on the pack.

New thudbusters use a 2-bolt saddleclamp for infinite seat angle adjustment. My original had a single-bolt clamp; that's been my only gripe.

If you intend using on road only, consider the more compact LT version (http://www.canecreek.com/site/produc...5_thud_st.html). This should make seat pack mounting easier.

If you've further doubts, I'd email cane creek with your questions and ask suggestions for easily mountable seatpacks; cc has great customer service.

    Good luck.
