a bike with my RV

I have room for only one bike on the back of my RV (my wife gets the other bike spot), so my question is whether or not I should get a hybrid with a front shock, or look for something along the lines of a touring bike that can take tires larger than 32s. I have been hauling my Bike Friday back there, but it gets so trashed from exposure that I'm going to go with something less expensive. The rides we do are mostly on paved roads, but some national forest lands, etc. involve dirt/gravel roads. Ideas as to bike type? Any others out there with bikes on their RVs?

Suggest CX type bike for your purposes. No need for the complexity and weight of a suspension fork.

+1. Especially if the OP is accustomed to road bikes.
