Help Identifying this Bike?

Can you help identify this bike. I just bought it used for a daily commuter. It doesn't have any model name that I recognize as such but the branding Cannondale and and CAAD3 are prominent. Do you recognize the year and model?

Here's a link to a larger image.

Thanks for your help.

Headshok, hydraulic rim brakes, dynamo hub/lights, integrated headset, mono seatstays, flat bars. Shouldn't be too hard to track down but I don't find it in a few minutes of browsing Bike Pedia. Mostly original equipment? Could it be a Euro version?

How do you use Bike Pedia to search based on features? I spent lots of time there looking at Cannondale bikes but didn't find one that resembled this one. Since I don't know the model, I had to look at every Cannondale bike for a particular year, which I also don't know. I had no joy.

I bought the bike from a charity who received it as a donation. The charity is located in northern California, so I doubt it's European. It does have a decorative print on the frame that looks like a stylized map of Europe. The serial number is obscured by the black plastic stay that guides the shift cables.

Bike Pedia is more old-fashioned browsing than searching. Someone more familiar with C-dale models could probably narrow down the possible years or models.

Googled 'cannondale with hydraulic rim brakes' and found this: https://www.flickr.com/photos/busterc...n/photostream/

Looks like a Road Warrior of some sort. That should help your browsing a bit.

Other than the lock through the rear wheel, sure looks a whole lot like the 2002 silk city 1000 in the alternate color:

(euro only model)

But with some of the details from teh 2001 road warrior 1000 (post, cranks):

Any military bases nearby? You would not believe some of the stuff that GI's bring home. I have purchased several odd bikes that came over that way. Most recently a mismatched pair of folders, an Atala and a Rixie (Italian and German) from the late 60's. I also purchased a Staiger Florida which is a German trekking bike, that has never been imported to the US.

The bike you have may well be a Euro spec model that won't show up in US catalogs. Regardless nice bike, ride it!
