Int'l Taipei Bicycle Show?
Hello
I was reading this article about the Amxma Simple One folding bike which was introduced at the 2011 International Taipei Bicycle Show.
I didn't know there were a bicycle show there, and figure it could be the opportunity I was looking for to travel to China/HK/Taiwan to check things out besides Beijing which I visisted a few years ago.
If someone's been to the Taipei's bike show, how is it?
I'm thinking of doing this:
Thank you.

I'm thinking of doing this:
- Paris-Beijing by plane
- Beijing-Shanghai by hi-speed train
- Shanghai-Wuhan by hi-speed train
- Wuhan-Guangzhou by hi-speed train (the new one that just opened between Beijing and Guangzhou)
- Guangzhou-HK by train
- HK-Taipei by plane
- Taipei-Paris by plane
Thank you.

Are you an employee of a bike shop or manufacturer or a member of the working bicycle press? The international shows (Taipei, EuroBike, Interbike) tend to be industry-only. There is a a movement afoot to add a "consumer" day to the Interbike show, but I don't know if it will go anywhere.

I had been to several interbike shows back in the early '90s and while the idea sounds fun, running from Univega, to Diamond back, to Fuji, to Bianchi, to GT, to Bell, Giro etc can get really tiring and when you hear basically the same spcheel at each booth it really gets old.

The Taipei International Cycle Show will be held 20-23 March 2013. It will be open to the public on the last day from 9am-3pm. Cost of admission is NT$200 (~US$6). Children under 12 are not permitted. No on-site sales permitted.
Expect big crowds on the last day since Taiwanese folks generally are out in droves on the weekend. I may try to head up there since I'm only 1.5 hours by train away.
