Jet powered bike videos.

This is pretty creepy...
http://www.henrikrosen.com/jet_bike.mpeg
http://www.swissrocketman.com/films/...ke%20alect.wmv

The first one is some twin engined home made thing that seems to be keeping up on a 70km/hr road pretty good with 2 jet motors mounted on a piece of plywood.
The 2nd guy reaches 236km/hr on a runway.

Very cool. Reminds me of the time my buddy Tighe and I constructed a rudimentary pulse jet engine out of an empty beer can in our dorm room freshman year of college. Same night we set a chair on fire...

I think you might want to wear your flameproof underwear over your bike shorts when riding those! The jets look to be a little too close to the seat.

Michelin huh? I guess this finally ends the debate between Campy and Shimano users over which group is faster.

The first one appears to be production R/C Aircraft turbines. They have become very reliable, are pretty safe, and relatively inexpensive. http://www.jetcatusa.com/ ...they can crash and burn though: http://www.jetsoveruae.com/video/Viper_crash.wmv

The other appears to be a liquid fueled rocket engine. Not sure what the normal application of it would be.
