I didn't find a better sub-forum to ask.

I have a Kickflix on the handlebar of my Birdy folder (no direct URL possible, since KF relies on Flash: It's the "Handlebar adapter standard Ø 22-26mm"), and would like to get a 20 liter waterproof bag that I can use for week-end getaways.

Apparently, that KickFlix adapter handles up to 7kg.

There are a bunch of bags on the KickFlix site, but I was wondering if other companies also make KickFlix-compatible bags that I should consider.

Notably, Ortlieb HB bags also fit on KF handlebar mounts,
And I have a bag frame That KF makes , using Steel or aluminum rod. reuse my old Eclipse bag with that..

KF/Rixen and Kaul's Match pack , becomes a shoulder bag off the bike, drawstring top
but may not fit as well as placing it on a seatopst mounted fitting

there is a ring around the bag , that has the 'square wave' bend in it to engage the snap catch.

i have a oval shopping bag from Detours, uses the KF ring support , ring made of aluminum,
a load limit, implied then.

additional bottom support, separate rack , might allow going overweight.

You'll find plenty of offerings featuring the Klick Fix mounting system. Only thing, though, is that they will also all share the same maximum weight limits, due to the design of the mounting system itself.

the top hook looks possible to back up with aluminum plate, and at least with the steel rod supports
push the load capacity a bit ..

On my Carradice barbag, the box is made from folded corrugated plastic and coated with canvas fabric. The plate is simply rivetted through the plastic, no backing plate. Mine has been used and abused for many years and is as tough as it is light.
One note with the Klickfix: you have to check that it clicks onto place, it can just rest in the bracket , then bounce off on the next bump.

But folders have more room on the front, so I thought I could hang a 10-20-liter bag, which will mostly contain clothes, ie. large but light stuff.

Thanks for the tip. I'm not sure I understand what it is: Is it some KF-compatible hook that I can somehow stick on a regular backpack?

It is an actual Klickfix back plate that can be used for attaching things to the a Klickfix handlebar mount like what you have.

You probably could attach it to a backpack but you'd need something solid inside that you could screw the back plate into.

How well it'd work would depend on the type of bag it's attached to, the size of the bag, the weight the bag and how well you've attached it to the bag.

If you have a long bag and a long steering tube you could attach a vertical Klickfix mount down low and put 2 back plates on a bag to spread the weight.

If the bag is attached to the frame, then it won't tend to destabilize steering. My Brompton works that way, the bag is fixed to the frame. If the bag is attached to the handlebars or forks, i.e. moves when you turn the bars, then a big weight gets dangerous.

if you can tolerate a Plastic plate, 4.5"x3"x0.5" thick, screwed at the 4 corners, through the back facing part,
of your pack , then Maybe .. if not R&K , pads around, like the hole in a Bagel,
the site that they Mount that plate,
through the part of the pack that faces your back. .. that They Make.

For the links + infos. The problem with a home-made solution (screwing that KF plate onto a regular backpack) is that the bag will no longer be waterproof :-/
