We saw this in Belgium, I think, in 2007. It was, as the sign says, along the Tour de France route.

on a side note, i took the title to mean art on a bike, and it got me to thinking about hippie bikes. i checked google for hippies on bikes and got nada. was expecting bikes that looked like painted up vw buses or lennon's rolls. no go. did hippies not ride? seems like bikes would have been perfect anti-establshment statements. of course, bikes are a much smaller canvas.
