A used bath pouf is great for cleaning a bike! I didn't know what do with the bath poufs - those nylon scrunchie things for body wash - that get too bent of shape after extended use - throw them away? Can they be recycled? I just usually tossed them.
But when I was cleaning out the garage, I was looking at my bikes and after realizing the last time I washed them that brushes were a bit awkward, and sponges didn't fit easily into the crevices created by bike geometry, and I thought, hey, the bath pouf I'm about to toss would work: non-scratching, some texture to scrub off mud, fit into the odd spaces and around tubes... other than the occasional snag, they work great! A bucket of hot, soapy water and a bath pouf comes in handy after a winter ride!
