Finding my cycling peeps
I just moved to a small town in TX for a co-op, and I have yet to see a single road bike here. I live in Orange, which is 20 minutes from Beaumont - a bigger city. Is it a plausible idea to commute to get with my cycling peeps over there? Does anybody do this?

Commute ... as in, cycle there?
All that distance!!
Oh ... I don't know if that would be a good idea.

Of course you mean Orange is 20 minutes from Beaumont by car. 20+ miles by bike takes a little longer. What roads would take to get there? Only 2 bridges, meaning I-10 or Bridge City.
