Kickstand ?

My son rides a GT Outpost that has a u-brake mounted on the bottom of the chainstays. He wants a kickstand and because of the brake location traditional kickstands are out of the equation. Any ideas?

.Greenfield Stabilizer. Do a Google search and you'll find all kinds of outlets for it as well as a install vid on Youtube.

Bikes: I never learned to ride a bike. It is my deepest shame.

There are plenty of kickstands that mount either by clamping on the end of the chainstay or on the ends of the chain and seatstay.

i have one mounted on my 2011 roubaix road bike. they work awesome.
i get lots of crazy looks and a few riders ask why a kick stand on a CF bike.
my reply is i weigh 200lbs+ so weight doesn't matter to me. and a ks convienent when you want to stop and take a rest, you never have to look for something to lean against. also the bike is much less likely to fall over and break a expensive STI shifter.
