anime/manga nerd related topic:
You've watched GoldenBoy right? of course you have, best bike related show ever.
got any idea what 3d bike Kintaro's bike is based on?
I can ID most of the components, but the brand and model appears to be imaginary.
Someday it'd be nice to build a replica....

Yep. Yowamushi Pedal is of course one of my favorites but it already has its own thread.

These days I'm on a shoujo/josei kick.

I'm starting to become one. I'm always interested in any anime that has cycling in it.

My daughter is a total anime and manga fan. We just attended Izumicon last weekend. Her birthday is in October and she prefers the convention to having a birthday party.

Mom here has created her cosplay costumes for the last three years.

She would LOVE this...

I've yet to see the aforementioned Yowamushi Pedal, but I'd say I am an anime/manga fan sort of. Never got into it when I was younger despite a couple friends being way into it back in college. I just couldn't get into it. But After I got netflix, and quickly became bored with the limited amount of good stuff in it, I decided to give anime another shot. Well still many I don't like, but I really liked a few and became a fan of anime ~35 years old lol. Only read one manga so far, just because it was my favorite anime and the anime ended half way through and I just had to continue... Claymore. Other favorites include Ghost in the Shell, and just watched Fate/Zero and it made my favorite list. Not big into anime with kid/high schoolers/college kids as their main characters (guess that's because I'm a bit older than the average anime fan) or excessive ridiculous fan service. Ok, maybe every once in a while I enjoy excessive ridiculous fan service.

Polar Bear Cafe has a character who commutes to work (at the cafe) by road bike. Granted, cycling is not the main focus of this awesome anime but I'm noticing more and more depictions of cycling in anime.
