Hey guys, I wanted to get your thoughts on which manufacturer makes better bikes... I currently have a 2011 Trek 1.2 and want to upgrade to an entry level, full carbon road bike. I've tested a 2012 Fuji Gran Fondo 3.0, 2013 Specialized Roubaix, 2012 Specialized Tarmac Apex Mid-Compact and a 2012 Trek Madone 3.1. Out of all of them, I really liked the Fuji and the Roubaix the best. I'm not into the aggressive geometries and prefer a more upright feel. The Fuji is about $25 less AND it has much better components... 105's vs. Sora. The thing is, I have no idea how good Fuji's are. I've owned a Specialized Rockhopper in the past and I currently own a Trek and I had no problems with either. Has anybody had any experience with Fuji? How do they compare with Specialized? Both offer a lifetime warranty on the frame, but regardless, I'm hoping under normal use, I'd never have to file a claim in the first place...

Fuji makes great bikes that have been in the pro peloton and have won at least one of the grand tours. They tend to offer more bang for the buck than Specialized or Trek.

Specialized is a brand, not a manufacturer, as they don't build their own frames- they merely buy from Giant, Merida, and a small handful of others that actually own the production lines. Giant was building bikes for other brands before launching their own brand, while Specialized started out as an importer of accessories before branching out into bicycles.

Fuji is part of a much larger corporate umbrella that I believe actually has some production capacity of its own, but I could be mistaken on this.

They both have decent reputations (depending on who you ask), so it will boil down to which you like better- regardless of decals on the frame.

they are both good brands.
more important is how well the bike manufacturer stands behind the product, aka WARRANTY. and how good is the quality of repairs and convince of the bike shop.
i know the specialized roubaix has a lifetime frame crash replacement warranty for the original owner, save the receipt. fuji probably does also but check before buying.

If both bikes fit well and you can buy both from a shop you like and the only difference is the stickers and the components...105 vs Sora is a no brainer. I would think you could feel the difference without even riding them.
