Ultralight kickstand for a carbon bike

I'm looking for an ultralight kickstand for a carbon bike. I'm not going to drill a hole in the frame, so old-fashioned kickstands that require a nut & bolt are out.

Other kickstands I've seen weigh 12 oz., which is way too heavy.

The bike is a 2012 Scott CR1, if that matters.

Carry some light weight fishing line and tie it to a sky hook when you stop.

Stop + lock bike onto something, solid = keep bike.

Quick, put a smiley behind your original post and pretend you were kidding. Trust me. I've seen kickstand discussions go way south in a hurry and that was with steel or aluminum framed bikes.

I think that's good advice.

i have a greenfield kick stand on my 2012 specialized roubaix.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/GREENFIELD-B...item589bc83ae0
it mounts on the rear stays and i find it's convenient for me.
i don't want to lean my expensive bike against something and have it fall over and mess something up like a expensive STI shifter.
i weigh 220lbs so another 300 grams won't make much difference on weight.

I just use a rubber band looped over the bottle cage and hook it to the valve on the front wheel. It makes the bike rigid enough to lean against something.

Kickstands don't get any lighter or more slick than the carbon fiber Upstand. It doesn't stay in situ, so you have to make the extra step of plucking it off, folding it, and stowing it in a saddle bag or pocket, but it's as trick as they come.

A bike standing up or leaning against something can get bumped, blown over, or otherwise fall down and possibly get damaged. Lay it down gently on it's non-drive side and it can't fall down.

Alternately, you could instead lose 3/4 of a lb. I suggest that so that you'll have a fully functional kickstand on your carbon fiber bike. On these forums, kickstands don't get nearly enough respect.
