Nice looking bike.
How did you get your road bike way out in that pasture with those skinny tires?

I must admit, I cycle past this pasture everyday, and today I thought I'll take my digital camera and take a picture of it, and my bike. I had to walk about 50m to get to this spot, but I believe it was well worth it.
The bike is a Giant TCR ZERO with Campag Record.

That bike looks pretty new to be put out to pasture already. (I rode my 1959 Capo in a group ride on Saturday and think of my 1988 Schwinn mountain bike as "new.")

OK enough hogging the server. This is the last one.

My wife (who loves the color purple) get the stoker of course. C-dale MT1000 set up with trick wheels and roadie parts and Magura Hydraulic brakes.

Fun.

Hey KleinMP99,

The way I see it is one can only discuss saddle height, bike choices, gear selection, tires, frames you name it , for so long and then you need to do what any true bike fan like to do the most -and that is probably to look at bikes...

Lastly, a lot of nonsense (i.e non bike related) is also discussed in this forum, so bike pictures makes a good and colourfull change...

Nothing wrong with looking at pictures. As they say, "A picture is worth a 1000 words". Saves on all that typing

I'm only aware of one other bike picture thread recently and besides I didn't realize that post count was a contest. Not for me anyway.

Yes there has been a very active bike picture thread lately. I guess my thought is, if you are aware of this thread, why not add to it, instead of starting another?

If you had added to that thread, then new folks would have gotten to see a lot of bikes, instead of just a few.

Perhaps I am missing something here, but we already seem to have a great redundancy of threads. Perhaps you have a logical explanation that I am missing. If so, I apologize.

Please help me out here.

Dear DNVRFOX,

This forum is like a lively conversation around a dinner table - redundancies will occur at some point...

Other than that, all I can say is that the forum is already sub devided into categories, do you suggest futher sub-deviding?
Should there be sub-categories in the General Discussion?
How about a sub-cat for Photos (another sub-cat if it is not a bike), one for crashes, one for health (male and female seperately) ??!!

What is important is that participants in this forum get to get their point of view across, redundancies included.

Okay??

I don't see where you responded to my point of adding to an existing thread that you already knew about rather than starting another thread, and I in no way suggested additional sub-categories.

But, so what??

Compared to war in the middle east, Afghanistan, starvation, poverty, cancer, deaths in car accidents, and the problems in the Catholic Church, it doesn't make a h*** of beans difference anyway.

Have a good day.

Dear DNVRFOX,

What you propose is that before I start a new thread, I first look through all the old threads for a possible similar issue. If I indeed find one, I should add to it, instead of starting a new, similar one...easy, or is it?

Firstly, some threads start off discussing one topic, and ends up to pages later with a completely new and different topic. It sometimes just wonders off. "What to use on humans" ended up as we all know quite far from the initial thread.....

Secondly, it is time consuming. I cannot always spend that much time behind a computer at work as I would like, and after work it is training, training.

Thirdly, some threads are relatively old, which means they do not recieve that many hits anymore, thus leaving replies to it unread.

You must have missed the analogy I made with "lively dinner table
conversation"...it is in this that your answer lies grasshopper.

Yes, somehow I missed that analogy, as this is a written medium, not a conversation. When you write, you have time to reflect on your thoughts, do a little investigation, see what has been said before. They may be analogous to you but they are not to me.

"grasshopper"??

Am I supposed to be insulted or complimented?

Please let me know so I can either bow my head in shame or raise it in pride. I am just a little confused.

Incidentally, a 3 second search under "bike pictures" show a thread "Look at us" with the most recent post being 05/05/2002 by wabbit, and oodles of bike pictures. You might want to check it out.

Enough of this.
