Who remembers these "Cycling Computers" ?
Wow, I had one of those long long ago. Not exactly what I would call a cycling "computer".
It wasn't all that long ago that I saw some of those being sold on ebay. I believe the seller was advertising them as NOS.
A few years ago, I bought an old (1983?) Raleigh "Touring 14." One of those came attached; I put it in a drawer (the computer, not the bike).
I remember putting one on my bike sometime in the 70's. Not sure it ever worked well and I think I took it off.

I had a couple of em. One had a star wheel that was hit by a pin on the spokes and one had a small ruubber O ring
Biking isn't a sport because anybody can do it. I can bike, you can bike. For goodness sakes, my mother can bike! You don't see her on the cover of Sports Illustrated, do you?
I had a Huret Multito on the Raleigh Rampar R-1027 I had in high school. It used a big o-ring that went around a pulley on the computer and one that mounted to the hub of the front wheel.

EDIT: huh, the link works from the quoted part of this message, but not in BicycleCrazy's original message that I quoted. Is this a vBulletin bug?
EDIT 2:. now it's gone again...
EDIT 3: Sorry for being OT folks, where can I report a software bug for the site. Back on-T: "Vintage", eh? Some people are really asking quite a lot for those.

I want that box of bowling pins!
I used to have one of these on my Mercian, back in the nineteen-eighties. You had to buy them for the wheel size you were using IIRC. The tic-tic-tic was sometimes a bit annoying.
I remember having one very similar to that one as a kid. Brings back some great memories!!!!
