Gotta love those "Big Box" stores!

Look close and you will find another fine job done by those professional bike assemblers at our local big box stores. It does give a shorter wheel base this way!

Yea, they come out of the box, slap the bars and wheel on, and go back to selling guns or paint.
|
Geeeeeee, why the hatred? They "almost" got it right....................

Unless they come with rusty chains, that bike's been around while. Maybe someone else reversed the stem.
|
Wouldn't the forks be correct if you rode it backwards?
|
Doesn't look like a big box assembly - the bike looks pretty old. Unless it has spent all it's life like this :)
|
Ugghhh... Look at the seatpost clamp... :twitchy:

Interesting how it came out of the box with a rusty chain and cassette.
|
I'm sure it was a joke, I just found it somewhere else :)

You caught me.
I thought it was real until I the rusty chain was mentioned. |

I'm sure it was a joke, I just found it somewhere else $35 spring tune-up special flushed it out. Magna... backwards fork increases the trail a lot. Motorpaced track racing 'Stayers' did that intentionally..But, custom built bikes for the race event. |

Had at least one of those backwards fork assembly jobs brought into the LBS, here, in the past year.

But YOU weren't joking in your OP were you when you were bad mouthing the employees of the stores? Only after being outed using a doctored photo comes the just joking routine. Ya sure you weren't the fork turning jokester?
there has been no indication that this photo has been doctored in any way just misidentified or inaccurately described for shame |

Does that explain your immediate response by rote to the OP? Or was your response a "joke" too?
or worse in real life so we have been conditioned to accept bso assembly to be comically bad although it is true that not all box store bike employees ride the short bus to work in the morning it is also true that they are all either child molesters or communists or worse that is if there is anything worse than communists |

I was stating a Fact. :bang:
Bikes are shipped with the fork backwards, so the Box is shorter./. you can get more in the shipping container.. to ship on the Boat. Lack of training, has the guy in the sporting goods section , leave it like that. to not train an employee for a job is a management supervision fault. Training is considered a Cost . |
