Bike Rack Question
Hello Everyone,
So I recently bought a new car and also recently bought as used Yakima Quickback 3. The rack mounts with the bottom resting on the hatch, covering the license plate. I only have the paper dealer plate on the back right now, as I;m waiting for my license plates. I've seen other threads talking about obscuring the license plate, but I'm trying to figure out if my absence of a front plate really matters in the grand scheme of things. Basically, since I need to transport my bike, should I just go ahead and put the rack on? And if I get pulled over, would the legality situation be any different if I had a front plate? I live in Austin, TX, so the police are fairly lenient towards bikes and cyclists in general. I just figured the more experienced people of this forum likely have better and more insight than I do. Thank You! |
