Knight bicycles

I just purchased a older road bike. It's a Knight made in Wolverhampton, England. I would like to find out where I can find historical information, original colors, equip. etc. Any info would help with my restoration project. Thanks.

Your Knight bicycle

Did you ever find out about the Knight bicycle you owned back in '02? I've been trying to find anything on them and can't except that they were once made in England. Am I right that they went out of business? I'm here in America and have never seen one. I guess they didn't import a lot of them. If you're still around, please write me back at; jtkuester@msn.com, thanks, Johann

The OP hasn't posted since May of 2002. If he still hangs around BF, he is quite the Lurker!

Thanks...

Thanks, I thought it might be a long shot but, I'm still looking for something on those Knight bikes. Do you know anything about them? I have some indicators that they were made by Norman, but, that's just a guess. Thanks, Johann

Thanks for the links, guys. Boy, would I ever like to find me a 24" or 25" Knight road frame. I love English machines.

He should have posted in the Classic and Vintage forum. Nowadays, Pashley is the only survivor of a once thriving British bike industry. Raleigh in Nottingham was the Microsoft of the bike world.

Yup! I think you hit it on the head. Wish I were as noble, though, and had something like one of those classics to cruise the nights with around here. Thanks!

I agree he is more likely to get help in the Classic & Vintage forum. Amazing some of the answers I have seen there regarding obscure bike makes. A knowledgeable bunch.
