Recommend bike shorts under 65$ please.
Looking for something with a thicker pad than my LBS branded Descente shorts that looks as if it has about 2mm of pad thickness.
Would like something with a bigger pad area in the back and thicker pad with more cush for long rides.
I am just a recreational rider and am looking for something that has these qualities under 65$, if it exists.
What do you use?
What would you recommend?

PS- I use Brooks Flyer, and B17 saddles.

Thicker doesn't necessarily mean better. The most comfortable thing between my butt and the saddle that I own is a pair of Primals, with a very thin chamois.

I use the aero tech designs shorts. The century short is nice thicker fabric and the chamois is pretty comfortable.
The top shelf short is $10 less, chamois feels just as good or maybe better than the century short but the fabric not as thick.
But both are good for the price. I used to use nothing but PI Ultra Sensor and one lower end model (? model but about $60) but imo, they are a total disappointment now, especially for the $130+.
I'm 260'ish and have no problems with the shorts doing 50-100 mile rides (Terry Fly saddle).

I wear Bontrager Solstice shorts and they're about $50 from the LBS and very comfortable. Don't see any reason to buy anything more expensive.

I don't have these specific shorts, but I do own two pairs of bellwether shorts and I love them both. Just ordered a jersey made by them an hour ago in the hopes that they'll be just as good.

I have a range of shorts from $18 Nashbars to $60 Sugois. I just bought a set of Canari Grand Prix shorts at Academy Sports. They were under $25, and are easily the most comfortable pair I own. I'm going back for another pair to replace the Nashbar shorts, which I hate. If those aren't good enough, Academy sells the Canari Vortex Pro shorts for under $50.

+1 Aerotech Designs. Chamois are available in varying thicknesses - from pro level with minimal padding (which I use) to long distance touring thick.
And reasonably priced too.

I've got several pairs of the Pearl Izumi shorts and while they are comfortable when I put them on and the chamois is fine, the seam on top of the leg really bites into my skin after a few hours. It becomes very uncomfortable. This is why I went with the Bellwether shorts. They are solid on top of the leg and no seam.

I use Nashbar Sport baggy shorts. I'm not a fan of regular form-fitting road shorts, nor extra-baggy MTB shorts. They list for $35, occasionally go on sale for $20-$25. They only have a thin, single layer chamois, but that's the way I like my shorts. They also have a few pockets and are comfy to walk around in if you're off the bike for a while.
FWIW: As mentioned above, extra padding isn't always the answer to comfort; its a combo of a good saddle (padded or unpadded) and shorts (with or without padding) and is heavily dependent on the shape of your 'backside'. You'll just have to experiment and figure out what works for you.
