1st ride, great decision
Didn't know where to post this, so the general section it is. Picked up my new, and first, bike. A Specialized Sirrus Comp. Didn't add much, just pedals and a wireless cadence meter. Was a little nervous on this investment based on not have riding a bike since my early teens (15+ years). Went out for my first ride, and WOW was it fun. Went 5.46 miles, wasn't sure how far to go on a first journey. Can't wait to add up the miles!!!!

Welcome and congrats. You'll find that the more you ride the better you feel, the less stressed you'll become, and the more you'll want to do.
Starting off around 5.5 miles for a first ride is great. Keep track of your miles and you'll be amazed how far you'll ride in a just a few months time.
