How to treat Sidi synthetic material

Hello all,

First of all sorry if you clicked this thinking you'll get the low down on how to treat your shoes. I'm asking how to do it. Maybe in the end you'll have the info we're both looking for. :)

So what I have is a few pairs of Sidi bicycling shoes that I've gone and did a damn good job of cleaning and taking care of an assortment of little trimming things that needed looking after. It would nice now to get it to as close to "new" condition as possible with some kind of rubbing in of some cream or what have you, on the synthetic material. Am I just fantasizing on this, or is there something out there that I could use and would be beneficial to the look and feel of my shoes?

Little more on what I have; I have 3 different Sidi Dominator 5 shoes. Sidi states that the material is;

Technomicro

Technomicro is a composite microfiber material created from strands that are so fine that each one is less than one thousandth the thickness of silk. These fibers act like natural leather skin, but with the advantage of better strength, softer texture and lighter weight. Technomicro is also water-repellent, quick-drying, breathable and permeable to water vapor, making it an ideal material for shoe uppers. It is abrasion- and mildew-resistant, easier to clean than leather and resists stretching and deterioration from atmospheric agents.

But I just can't find anything on treatment of this product. I guess I must be really lost in the leather world and I need to just release this archaic technological thinking? :o

wash off mud and dirt.

When mine get stanky from extended periods of riding in them wet, I soak them in Oxiclean solution over night, rinse them out well, let them dry and they smell nice and fresh. I've seen no resulting degradation of the materials or fit.

Holly cow! I got a call back from Sidi regarding this and they pretty much said my "treatment" is finished after they are washed! They only recommend wash, dry and wear. Wish all my problems were this easy!

Thanks for the feedback above. Always appreciative of that!
