Those stupid jerseys
I really like to ride my bike on weekends, but none of my clothing has other companies' logos all over them. Why do other bikers laff at me when I ride in an ordinary blue UnderArmor tee shirt?

Glad to hear you're out enjoying your rides. I wouldn't laugh at your t-shirt, but have you ever worn one of those stupid jerseys? They have zippers, back pockets, and are cut for the riding position rather than sitting or standing up. You can get them without logos if you prefer.
FWIW, my jerseys have the logos of a number of local small businesses that support our little race team, not because they think they are going to make big bucks, but because they like bike racing.

Apparently you ride around too many jackarses. Cycling jerseys have their advantages but there is nothing wrong with riding in an athletic t-shirt. I do a lot of my casual riding in t-shirts with jean or trekking shorts. Sometimes I even wear my trail running shoes rather than clipping in.
Don't worry about it. It wouldn't matter what jersey you got, helmet you bought, sunglasses you wore, or bike your rode, some cycling fashionista would have something negative to say. Just ride and enjoy.

Ok, I'll be a little bit serious - my biking clothes for hot weather are inexpensive bright green/yellow Xersion brand shirts and shorts, with bike boxer shorts from REI underneath. I think I'll have to switch to a jearsey though becuase the shirts might be a little short when I'm in the drops. Ugh. Worse than Plumbers Butt.

Can you give us some examples of these other bikers who laff at you when you ride with a tee shirt? What do they say? In what way do they say it?

If you do something different you join a minority. That said you should bear in mind that people who laugh at someone over dress sense are also a minority. Wear what you want.

They're probably laffing because you're riding on the sidewalk.

Southern California seems to be a pretty style-conscious area; so maybe the OP is from there. Otherwise, who knows??? I have a lot of plain-color jerseys, a lot of ride jerseys, and a couple of 'fun' image jerseys. I don't have any with bike company or team logos.

He's now living in Banned Land. Or maybe not. No mention in the Banned Users thread.
Wish someone would pay me to wear logo shirts. Not really, just said that for a laff.

Typical bullies...laugh at people who aren't "cool" to them. I say F'ed them and enjoy what you're comfortable with. When I bought my first road bike a couple of months ago, I rode in running shorts, running shoes, and a tee. I eventually went with cycling shorts and a plain jersey because it's more comfy than running shorts and tee.
