Found a Great Place to Buy Cycling Shoes Online

My old Sidi Techno road shoes are starting to fall apart, so I've started down the path of replacing them. Unfortunately, buying shoes online can be an expensive crap-shoot as I'm finding-out. I already ordered and sent back a pair of Sidi Genius shoes that were way too big for me. Even though the shoes were on sale, this turned out to be an expensive lesson as I had to pay shipping both ways and I didn't know about the restocking fee until I tried to do the return

Anywho...

After a ridiculous amount of searching, I found that Art's Cyclery seems to be the best place for ordering shoes. Like Zappos.com, Art's offers free shipping both ways! Unlike Zappos, Art's has a bigger selection of cycling shoes and quite a few of them are on sale for decent prices. As of the time of this post, Art's is also offering additional discounts, free cleats with their shoe purchases, and I got free two day shipping because I ordered two sets of shoes. That's hard to beat!

*** I do not work for and am not affiliated with Art's Cyclery in any way. *** I created this post as I find shoe buying a bit frustrating (and expensive) and am hoping someone else can benefit from this information.

Arts is one of my favorite online bike retailers.

They get all limited edition items too...that's where I picked up my blue Giro Empires and my blue Shimano R320's.

Not sure if their black friday sales are still going on or not, but they had some killer deals the last couple of days.

Yeah, I like it that Art's carries most of the popular brands. I've decided to give the Giro Factor shoes a try... especially since their on sale. I like the idea that they come with different arch supports. I noticed that the Sidi's that I ordered and returned had a much larger arch support than my old shoes had, and that won't work for me.

Looks like they only sell Road (and Triathlon) shoes. They're consistent in that they also only offer road pedals - except for a track pedal and a plain cage pedal.

Look at the upper left-hand corner of the web site and you'll see "Road" and "Mountain". You were probably looking at their roadie-specific web site.
