Aesthetics, saddlebags and tasty porn, the kind mom used to make.

As you can see, I splurged and got me a new post (Miche Supertype) with my new saddle (B17N). I so love it -- it looks like it'll be just as awesome functionally as form -- and I don't want to cover it up with a saddle bag. Any suggestions on how to carry the basics on frame?

Did I kill this?

Yup, silver seems a lot more money. Mine was only $36.

As for the waterbottles, yeah, during the summer, a ride in the mountains can take you away from easy water sources and I've drained all four of 'em before. First time I brought four bottles, my buddy Tom teased me about it, but four hours later was thanking me for sharing

Which would kill the style points gained from the Supertype / Brooks, if you care about style points. I don't. Nice setup. I'll get me one of those in black for my MarkV...

The large wedgie? I'm gonna look at a small wedgie, but first I'm gonna try something that just occured to me. I can take two small black zip ties to connect a small bag to the post. Just an experiment.

seat post is pricey... $36, brand new, ebay, Jones Bicycles.
saddle is pricey too... $55, brand new, Nashbar.com -- even came with Proofide and leather wrench.
how much was the cat... priceless (free from the animal shelter)
