Wouldnt it be grand that if this winter was like the winter of 2005/2006? In Aug of 2005 I bought my first recumbent which was one of smarter moves I ever made. It was late in the season and I just couldnt get enough of riding it. When I got home I was sad the ride was over since I had no pain at all. But---the winter 05/06 turned out to have one or two days every month for that whole winter that I could ride. That means that temps got up to at least 60 as I hate riding when colder.

You only ride your bike when it is 60+ and you live in Nebraska? You don't actually like cycling very much.

).Put a fairing on whichever rig of your you want, double up on your socks, and go for a ride.

Call me a wuss if you want to. I just dont like riding when it is cold, and riding on snow and ice simply isnt safe. I dont like to ride with long pants on. And riding all bundled up like the Michelin Man simply is not my bag. While I prefer it to be at least 60, on the other hand I will ride when the temp get up to around 100. Some people wont ride when it is that hot, so it kinda balances out.

I'm with you; if I do any outdoor strenuous activities(running, cycling, etc) where the temps are less than 50 or so, I'll be coughing for the rest of the day and dealing with a runny nose, regardless of how much I bundle up. However, I'll run, bike, hike any time when the temps approach 100. Luckily, my current locale allows year round cycling for me; supposed to be low 70's today....

I'm a little bit of a wuss too. I don't really care to ride in the 40's, although I will if it is nice, or even raining if I haven't been out in awhile. Luckily, North Carolina doesn't get really cold, or at least not for long enough to matter.
Was pushing 80 today, and will be in the 40's next week. Ridiculous.
