Quality "bullet lights"/"torpedo lights:?

There are a couple different "bullet" or "torpedo" style lights around the 'net, but all the ones I can find are plastic. Does anyone know of some models with a metal housing?

Example in plastic: Torpedo Front Lamp | SOMA Fabrications

The Soma torpedo rear light has a metal housing, so it's a little curious that their front does not.

Additionally, both of those only have one LED (front or rear). Are there any well known lights of this style that support stronger lighting? One LED seems feeble even for "be seen" lights worth very much. It would be great if there's some "see by" lights in this style, but it's not strictly needed. Eventually I might go dynohub, which to my understanding is where you find "see by" lights. Until then, I'm all about the battery.

Thanks,

M.

look at Aluminum Bullet LED Tail Lights | Bruce Gordon Cycles. Aluminum led bullet lights but they aren't cheap.

Oops, these aren't headlights.

No biggie They look a lot like the Soma ones, too. Same supplier I guess?

We have used this light and it is decent enough for lower speed riding and throws a well focused beam with a wide throw.

soma,a part of Merry sales Imports and Bruce Gordon Cycles, are both in the SF bay area.

but in different towns . Bruce prides himself on making his own stuff . to Know, ask the parties involved .

good luck .. There were fender mounted lights for old cruisers , but were basically like a cheap flashlight .

what matters most looks or function, IE amount of light output?

The custom motorcycle guys are all about that kind of stuff; billet aluminum, machined and polished torpedo lights. Check out the Headwinds Revolver Concours, for example. It's a 2" spot lamp that could probably be modded to fit on a bicycle, depending on what you're after and what look you want.
