Just launched my bike club's new website. Thanks for the help!

Hey folks,

Been a while. Last year I solicited help from people on the forum to help me design a new website for my bike club. I'm happy to announce that the new version is finally fully functional! I think I did a good job, here's the result: https://nfbc.com/

Critiques, comments, all are welcome. Once again, thanks for the suggestions everyone!

On the Home Page, there's the background photo but the insert covers it up. Curious as to that scenic photo.

Very nice! I like the "About us" right there on the home page and the graphic links to the upcoming rides. Also, detailed information including contact info for the leader on each ride's page is excellent.

If there's one thing I'd improve, it's the current weather. 29F is rather cool.

Niagra falls. Right click outside of the insert and on the background photo and select "View Background Image." At least in Firefox you can do that.

It's a very nice website. Very clean. I can't stand websites filled with flash and fancy stuff. I like clean and to the point.

How about a list of bike shops of noteworthy character.

Some of those rides look good. I grew up in Cheektowaga, so I know the area.

Cool stuff. I'm looking at the source code to see how you did it.

Yup. It's on my list of things to do. Only now that the season has started, my time to work on the site has diminished! Maybe next year!

If you're ever in town, stop by for a ride. We let guests ride all the time with no membership commitment.

Heh heh heh...

There's a few things under the covers I should probably clean up at some point. I haven't been as disciplined designing this site as the ones I make for work.

That's easy, at least in Firefox. Right click on it and View Background. It's a little more complicated in Internet Exploder - right click, Copy Background, then paste it into a picture viewer.

Here's the background pic: https://nfbc.com/Images/falls4-mod.jpg
