What are you wearing? Feel free to stick in pics to spice up the thread

I wear my RM Williams work boots to work and then a pair of Nike runners on the way home. Neither have let me down. The RM Williams boots are now approaching 35 years old and don't show any signs of wear. I guess I'm stuck with them for the rest of my life. They did cost Aust$90.00 so at least I'm getting my money's worth. :D

Did the cat come with the shoes, or was that extra?

phantomcow2 03-21-05 08:49 PM

the cat was included with the shipping

Road: Sidi genius 4 or Speicialized pro
Dirt: Sidi Dominator 4 or Vans Cabelleros

KrisPistofferson 03-21-05 09:02 PM

Specialized Body Geometry road shoes with Eggbeaters for longer weekend rides. The rest of the time, Converse All-Stars and MKS Sylvan track pedals.

jim-bob 03-21-05 09:05 PM

Vans Camachos with clips and straps, usually.
Vans sk8-his with clips and straps, sometimes.
Red Wings EMT boots with platforms, occasionally.

(platform pedals, that is. I've come to terms with my height.)

Shimno SPD sandals. Great in summer and with heavy socks you can even wear them in fairly cold weather.

BostonFixed 03-21-05 09:21 PM

I would post my shoes, but the last time my thread was moved to foo... :(

Circa something something something. They fit. I amnot too picky as it is hard to find shoes in this tiny man province.

Here is my thread that I started on my shoes, which was moved to foo, if anyone cares...

These are the European models (colour differences). I picked them up during a business trip to Bologna, Italy several years ago. The dollar was strong back then and with the exchange rate, they worked out to around $120 a pair... so I just had to get both the MTB and RB versions. :)

I went to a bikeshop near my hotel but they didn't have my size in stock. The owner asked me when I was leaving and I told him I was off to London the following day. He asked me where I was staying and I pointed across the street. He picked up the phone, dialed a number and spoke some Italian. Then he told me to expect a call later in the day. Several hours later, after I had returned from the conference I was attending, I was informed by the front desk of the hotel that there was a message waiting for me from the bikeshop across the street. I went over to the shop and the owner pulled out a plastic bag with two boxes of Sidi shoes. He explained to me that the Sidi factory was not very far so they simply sent one of their employees over who carted the shoes to the store in his little Alfa Romeo. The shoes fit beautifully and I purchased them. They still remain the most comfortable footwear I own.

Roadie is Sidi Genius 4
MTB and Commuter are Specialized MTB Comp shoes from several years ago...they aren't all that great but the new ones seem very nice and I am looking to replace the old ones.

Lake mx100...a little chilly today, but all round a good shoe.

I wear shoes like these, but not this particular model:

They're great, as the sole is stiff and thin, and made of natural rubber.

Yeah, but you wear sandals to play golf, so it's not surprising. :)
