That bike has a gas engine and no lights. The incident happened at 1:30 AM. I'm thinking this is a story that has 2 sides.

This 'accident' happened in October 2012. It is newsworthy again today because of the lawsuit. Just do a Google search of this incident to get many more write-ups and additional information. I read at least six different print stories, and each was slightly different in what they 'reported'.
That YouTube video was the only one that mentioned that she was being followed home by her policeman husband. Other stories called her 'mother of three' and Miss, and no mention of a husband, or his career.
Was she out somewhere and tipped back a few? Who knows since she was not administered a breathalyzer, and was driven home after the incident. (CYA?) You'd have to have witnesses to say 'she was at O'Malleys until 1pm' to throw suspicion on her character and testimony.
The pic of the kid on the motorized bike is just a pic. It does NOT say that this was the bike he was riding at the time of the incident.
I'd have to have more information, but I'd still have to say that her suit is baseless. She did hit them from behind. She should have been found 'at fault'. If she had hit a deer, would she be as 'traumatized'? Who would she be suing? Suing the city/township? For what? a burned-out streetlight? More info is needed.
