What can Seattle learn from Dutch street design?
I stumbled upon this presentation and can recommend it. The one type of bike intersection that wasn't included in that talk was a below ground cloverleaf for bikes. I came across that cloverleaf I believe in Arnhem.
The above ground intersection shown in Eindhoven is actually not too far from my house though I haven't personally biked over it.
Enjoy!

Flatness has nothing to do with it. Did you actually watch that presentation?
That talk shows how intersections have been improved to make the biker more safe, how streets have been transformed to make it more pleasant for everyone, how bikers have their own traffic lights ... and so on. I saw a sensor that detects temperature and humidity (rain) to make the light change more quickly for bikers so they don't wait unnecessarily long at traffic lights when it's cold and\or raining.
I especially liked seeing the same intersections before and after.
These examples could be put into place just about anywhere you have bikers sharing space with cars.
This was city planning type talk.
