bike shoes for no clip pedals.

Hi.

Usually, I wear my sneakers every day for commute to school.

However, I don't want to use clip peals during my bike trip (about 1000mile), so I want to buy shoes for my travel.

Can you guys recommend some particular shoes or brands for me?

Most any mountain bike shoe with a stiff sole would be fine. You dont have to put the clips on. Look for sales from the big catalog names.

Larger platform pedals, + an insole with a rigid arch support is an alternative ..

People cross the continent with that sort of Kit. (3000 miles)

Also search for "bicycle touring shoes."

Touring shoes are of a more casual, walkable design.

You might want to have a look at the Shimano Click'R shoes. Cycling shoe that can be both used with or without clip pedals, they are also comfy enough for walking around.

I'm wearing Five Ten shoes, like these: Five Ten - Impact Low - Team Black with my VP-191 platform pedals. I'll also just wear my Teva sandals when it's hot. The sandals were nice when I forded a creek recently! In cold weather I wear higher top boots with thick socks to keep warm.
