RunKeeper Anyone?
Does anyone use RunKeeper to track their rides? I have been using it for a few months and really like it. I am looking for friends to add on there to keep me motivated. Currently I don't have many family or friends that exercise.

I use mapmyride or garmin connect, and upload data from a Garmin Forerunner 10 that I mount on my bike. But I will check out the one you mentioned.

Ok, so I downloaded Strava and subscribed to premium and I am not convinced it's better than Runkeeper. Runkeeper logs pretty much the same data and it has real time target heart rate zones and current speed on the main display as I ride. The Runkeeper audio cues are superior compared to Strava. Runkeeper also has like 50 different activities compared to Strava that only has two. What and why do some of you feel Strava is better?

I used Runkeeper before I got a cyclocomputer and found it to be pretty good. I think they hemmed themselves in a bit with the name when it does just as well with biking as running. The only thing I really used it for was speed, avg speed, and distance, and I have that without having to run my phone battery down now. But if you like the audio cues and social stuff it should work great for you. I can't believe you don't have any friends that exercise. Try looking up your local cycling club(s) or talk to your local bike stores and see what you can find.

I'm going to run Runkeeper and Strava at the same time. Will let Stava run in the bg and then compare notes.
Still need to find a few people to add so that I have someone to compete with.

I use runkepeeper occasionally, and only use it to get a rough idea for distance and time. I don't want to get too involved in data collection and comparisons while riding, I use the body fat % scale and blood pressure cuff for that.

I am the complete opposite when I comes to data. I am a data collecting nut case. My job is data and number crunching and just can't get enough of it. I do the BP thing too. I check my BP 2 or three times a day and chart the data over time. I also keep an eye on my blood oxygen level and collect that data. My blood pressure is always in the good zone but I have always wanted to get my heart in top shape, so I am having a blast tracking my progress with these apps. I run Runkeeper, Motion-X and now Strava all at the same time and then compare notes. They seem to be very accurate using my iPhone 5s.i am still waiting for the software technology the catch up on my Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Most importantly for me, knowing where my heart rate zone is in real time is crucial for weight loss. I bounce around in zone 3 4 and 5 and it's doing me well. I have gone from 210 to 172 lbs in about 6 months, just have that little stomach pooch or whatever that I am trying to eliminate.
Here are some photos of the beautiful and rock solid Topeak mounting system I use.
