Anyone know if these are still available? I bought a couple long sleeves a few years ago & haven't been able to find them since.

Mountain Equipment Coop in Canada https://www.mec.ca/index.html has them with both long and short sleeves. Wonderful under a bike jersey, or just by themselves for any sort of exercise on a cool day and you can throw them in the washing machine at the end of the day. But I've seen them in other shops as well. Or you can always just wear a very thin wool sweater.

Smartwool is still around, you could try calling them, or using their website to find retailers. There is also Rivendell. I like the looks of Ibex, a lot of bike and outdoorsy shops around here stock it now.
But it's very expensive. Boure stuff looks good, and they have a base layer.

My wife loves this stuff for skiing, horse riding etc. (not a biker). She couldn't tolerate polypropylene but swears by Smartwool - it is expensive but she felt it's worth it. I may try the MEC stuff since I'm cheap.

Ibex makes wool cycling shirts, and regular shirts, etc. with the same, cushy merino wool. Currently they have some at half price on their website. Ibex, Smartwool and Icebreaker are three manufacturers of this superpimp merino wool stuff.

One thing with woolen shirts: be sure to get them larger rather than smaller. Unlike cotton, they won't stretch much. There's nothing worse, especially for a cyclist whose arms are typically outstretched, than having sleeves hike up your forearms. I have a couple shirts that have this problem. A real downer.
