Hyper Static- not what your thinking

I was going to post this in bmx, but it seems dead. I was given this bike through a friend, I am not keeping it to ride- already have a dk and dont ride bmx for real. I got it for parts.

The question is what kind of bmx 3piece crank does it have? It looks like its based off a standard square taper, but with bmx parts. Its not or appears not to ne a standard bmx 3piece. I want to put the crank on a mtb I have. I teied to google, but couldnt find anything on its parts. It looks like a standard square taper bb, with a bmx spindle instead. I did read something about it being an american unsealed bb. It looks to be the same width as a regular mtb bb, so I'm thinking, all I need to do is swap out the axles.

Another question is; can a bmx sproket be had larger than a 44t, if not, I'm sure the 44/52 set off a 1pc road crank will work. Granted I can find such a bike, I know some old huffy road bikes had 1pc cranks.

Everything on a bicycle works together so you can seldom change out just one part without having to change something else to get the whole package to work. You're pretty heavily into the mix and match mismash with BMX, road bike and mountain bike parts. I'm thinking you'll just have to bolt everything up and see what does or doesn't work. That's part of the fun of it.

I've put together some pretty unlikely combinations in my time. I've had some other riders openly scoff but it was the best I could afford at the time, I was on the road, and I was having fun so I had met my personal objectives.

Good luck!

A Schwinn LeTour crank fit perfectly on my Schwinn Probe, I've gotten away with a few things. As long as I can get the pedals off the thing to try and fit it, the axle might just swap over, that"s why I waa trying to figure out the type of crank.

Okay, so after a lot of different key words I found out it's just an unsealed american three piece crank. My question is could I replace a square taper mtb crank with this crank, or will it only swap with a single piece, since assembly is the same?
